How is natural gas removed from the ground
Natural gas is removed from the ground like this: a gas drill drills down shooting rock out of its 3 jets until it hits the gas then it turns horizontal and goes on for a while then it stops and the drill is removed from the hole.Then a pipe is put down the entire hole. Then cement is pushed down the hole till the pipe is cemented into place.Then the drill comes back and digs into the gas. Then the drill is removed again. Then a perforated pipe gun is set down to the new part of the hole and explosives are fired from the gun into the gas. Then fracturing fluid, a mixture of sand and water, is put down and fills up the hole. The fracturing fluid causes the fractures to crack allowing the gas to be removed more easily. Then the fracturing fluid is removed and the fracturing gun is removed. Then a plug is put into the hole blocking the gas from getting out. Then the plug is drilled out and the gas is pumped up.
